Event description THIS IS FOR DELEGATES TO SIGN UP TO AS AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST. WHEN WE HAVE A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF DELEGATES WE WILL RUN THIS COURSE IN THE AREA WHERE THERE IS MOST DEMAND.

A licensed course delivered by accredited trainers, a specialist teacher and a speech and language therapist. There will be 4 sessions focussing on key aspects of speech, language, and communication development, processing Instructions and Information).

A follow up opportunity focussing on measuring the impact on CYP progress will be arranged.The course is underpinned by reflective practice.

Teaching assistants attending without a class teacher or the SENCO should be supported by a member of teaching staff in their school, who has already completed a Language for Learning course, to implement and practise what they have learnt. 
Training objectives Participants will understand SLCN, adopt a structured approach from identification to intervention for pupils with SLCN and understand how to use a range of general and specific strategies to support pupils.
