A half-day course for practitioners who have some experience of teaching phonics, but who would like to improve their effectiveness in order to achieve better attainment. 
Training objectives * To familiarise practitioners with the teaching and learning of phonics:
* Through knowing the key terminology
* Through exploring the phases of phonics development
* By providing examples of practical activities
* By considering assessment and tracking procedures
* By becoming familiar with the end of year 1 phonics check
