Anxiety Based School Avoidance Training

Event code SCH 20/642
Event description Training for staff to help them understand the push and pull factors that influence children and young people in becoming avoidant of school. We will discuss risk factors specific to the Covid19 pandemic as well as help staff to identify those children and young people at risk of becoming avoidant of school due to other factors. Evidence based interventions and strategies will be discussed and there will be opportunities for solution focussed discussions regarding children that staff and key workers are involved with.

The course is repeated across three terms for delegates to attend one of the sessions.

You will be sent an invite to the remote training (a 'Microsoft Teams' invite), this will include instructions regarding how to join the training, as well as any pre-course activity details if necessary.
