Effective Subject Pedagogy for NQTs and RQTs - Formative Assessment in English (Secondary)

Event description CREDIT WORTHY. A series of six individual sessions for NQTs and RQTs which focus on research informed pedagogy in English.
These sessions are focused on groups who are in the early stages of their careers.

This session will run as an interactive zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hour prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that zoom courses are not recorded.

Training objectives 1) Understand what we mean by 'effective instruction' in English
2) Know how to make best use of formative assessment practices in English
3) Understanding the importance of retrieval practice in English
4) Know how to support the working memory and CLT in English
5) Understand the importance of effective modelling in English
6) How to lead students to independence/ moderation opportunities
