• What formative assessment is (and isn't);
• Practical techniques for implementing formative assessment

2. The Power of Feedback: Shirley Clarke, 06.10.20
Delegates will:
Understand the importance of high quality feedback
Explore a range of practical strategies to provide effective feedback in the classroom

3. The role of children's motivation in formative assessment: Barry Hymer, 08.10.20
Delegates will:
Explore a range of strategies to promote pupil autonomy and intrinsic motivation in the classroom

4. Hinge Questions: Harry Fletcher-Wood, 14.10.20
Delegates will:
Learn about the purpose and use of hinge questions
Understand what makes an effective hinge question
Explore ways of crafting meaningful questions that elicit high quality assessment information
