Event description | Are you tutoring or mentoring ECTs (used to be referred to as NQTs) throughout their induction period? From September 2021, the induction for ECT's will change and will be based on the early career framework. We have developed this course to make you aware of these changes and ensure you are fully equipped with the skills to be an effective mentor following the revised statutory guidance. The half day session is aimed at new and experienced tutors and mentors involved in the ECT induction process. The interactive course will ensure you understand what your role entails including the recently revised statutory roles and responsibilities, what best practice looks like and where to go for help and advice. This course is accredited with the CPD Certification Service, the largest and most recognised CPD training accreditation service in the UK. For further details on the service please go to: https://cpduk.co.uk/ This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Delegates will be sent the link no later than 24 hours before the start date. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session. If you have not used Zoom before and require helpful tips, we recommend having a look at these: How to join a Zoom meeting for delegates https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193 Join a test meeting to familiarise yourself https://zoom.us/test Participants who are unable to install Zoom can join our training using the Zoom web client on their desktop web browser.
