Delivering Effective Sessions for Tutors in a Primary/Secondary School

Event description This course is recommended for schools using Covid Catch Up funding to provide tuition sessions:
It is a specialist Training course for School Based Tutors, HLTAs and Learning Mentors delivered by The Equality Diversity Inclusion Team.

This course will look at how to effectively provide catch up support in a one to one or small group session
Delegates will take away a range of teaching strategies, techniques and resources to raise achievement of vulnerable learners:

1. Planning one to one and small group sessions
2. Using Speaking, Listening and Questioning to accelerate progress
3. Academic Literacy strategies for small group settings
4. Use of collaborative learning

This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Confirmed delegates will be e-mailed the link 24 hours prior to the session. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session.

Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.
