Event description Session 5: Probability: How to Make the Most of Formative Assessment

This is session five of a series of six sessions. The six sessions can be treated as a whole course (see course code SCH21/738) or can be attended individually.

Fifth in a series of sessions reviewing the strands of maths alongside various pedagogical approaches. Having the confidence to respond to the needs of a class is very important and developing formative assessment strategies is crucial to students making progress. One of the main ways to do this is through common misconceptions. Assessing as a teacher when students have grasped something and when you need to review something again is key. During this session we will explore possibility spaces and combinations and a variety of methods of formative assessment which enables you to adjust your lessons as it progresses.

These sessions will run as an interactive Zoom sessions. Delegates will be sent the link no later than 24 hours before the start date. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.
