Event description The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) research suggests the measures taken to combat the pandemic have deprived the youngest children of social contact and experiences essential for increasing vocabulary EEF2021.

As children return to schools after over a year of limited schooling schools find out about a course that can be accessed using your Covid Catch up funding:
A course designed to train school staff to strengthen children's communication and literacy skills.
Catch up Speaking and Writing - Talking Partners@Primary
This targeted, time-limited (10 weeks) intervention can be used with small groups or the whole class.

‘Talking Partners@Primary is an excellent speaking and Listening programme. Our school has benefitted from the specialist teaching strategies which have been particularly good for children with English as an Additional Language’

Get a brief outline of underpinning pedagogical principles and benefits of the Talking Partners@Primary programme.
Learn how the course provides opportunities for pupils to practice and rehearse target language through a range of focused activities.
