| Event description | This half day course, for teachers, teaching assistants and all those supporting or teaching will look at how to effectively support children with autism in the classroom. Topics will include: - Autistic characteristics and behaviours - The Autistic brain and how it processes - Autistic children who mask their Autistic traits in school. - Autism and anxiety - Supporting social Interaction skills Delegates will take away of range of classroom strategies and techniques to implement in the classroom in order to support Autistic children. Previous feedback includes: 'Amazingly presented and lots of opportunities to ask questions with practical helpful responses' 'Really helpful information and strategies to put into place' 'Best course i have been on so much information' 'I loved how many practical suggestions and tips were offered through the course' This session will run as an interactive Zoom session. Delegates will be sent the link no later than 24 hours before the start date. Please ensure you are able to access Zoom at least 1 hour prior to the session. Please note that these are not recorded and therefore not available to watch at a later date and delegates need to attend as a live session.
