A two-part course in phonics for beginners, or those returning to phonics teaching.

These 2 half-day sessions will support teachers and teaching assistants who are new to phonics, by preparing them with the knowledge and skills they need to make a start. It will also update and refresh the skills of those who may have taught phonics some while ago. 
Training objectives * To understand the terminology of phonics
* To pronounce phonemes correctly
* To know how to accurately segment and blend words
* How to teach common exception words
* Know some games and routines which support phonics teaching
