This course is the second level training for designated safeguarding lead staff who are required to update their training every two years. This course provides an update on changes in national policies and guidance and uses an extended case study to support your learning, enabling delegates to discuss, debate and challenge the varied views on practice, ethics and policy.

This new course has been enthusiastically received and feedback demonstrates that it meets the needs of experienced DSLs and Deputy DSLs, while developing their knowledge and practice further.
 
Training objectives To enable experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead/ Deputy Safeguarding Leads to meet their requirement for updated training every 2 years.
